SustainableCZ is a blog…

…run by the Domain of the Human Dimensions of Global Change Impacts – the Department of Social Processes and Sustainability, the Department of Social-Ecological Analysis (SE Lab), and the Department of Ecosystems, Economics and Equity – at the Global Change Research Institute (CzechGlobe), part of the Czech Academy of Sciences.

We do research on the interactions between people and the changing world. We focus on social-ecological aspects of sustainability such as adaptation and mitigation to climate change, loss of biodiversity, ecosystems services, social-ecological scenarios and resilience, systems change for sustainability. We contribute to critical debates on environmental justice, values and institutions.

We work on these problems in Czechia, throughout Europe, and across the Globe, creating knowledge that is useful to people, communities and policy makers.

…Sekce společenského rozměru globální změny – Oddělení společenských procesů a udržitelnost, Oddělení sociálně-ekologické analýzy a Oddělení ekosystémů, ekonomie a environmentální nerovnosti, která je součástí Ústavu výzkumu globální změny (CzechGlobe) pod Akademií věd České republiky.

Zkoumáme interakce mezi lidmi a měnícím se světem. Zaměřujeme se na sociálně-ekologické aspekty udržitelnosti, jako jsou adaptace na změnu klimatu a její mitigace, ztráta biodiverzity, ekosystémové služby, sociálně-ekologické scénáře a resilience, systémové změny k udržitelnosti. Přispíváme do klíčových debat o tématech environmentální spravedlnosti, hodnotách přírody a o institucích. 

Pracujeme na různých místech a v různých prostorových měřítcích a snažíme se chápat problémy udržitelnosti v České republice a dalších oblasech napříč Evropou a světem. Přinášíme vědomosti užitečné lidem, veřejnosti i tvůrcům politik a strategií. 

Na našem blogu píšeme o práci, které se věnujeme. Najdete zde příspěvky o aktuálním dění v našich projektech a o akcích, kterých se účastníme a které organizujeme. V příspěvcích píšeme i o našich nových vědeckých závěrech a o aktuálních publikacích.
